Tyrannus Nix?

If you've never been to the Richard Nixon Library and Birthplace (right off the 91 in beautiful Yorba Linda – just follow the signs from the freeway), Monday October 15th might be a great day to mosey on over.

On that day, legendary journalist and author Carl Bernstein will make his first ever visit to the library. He is scheduled to speak about his new book, A Woman in Charge: The Life of Hillary Rodham Clinton.

What took you so long, Carl?

The event is free and begins at 4 pm.

While you're there, check out the room where they display all the gifts President Nixon received during his tenure in the White House. My favorite is one from General Pinochet of Chile who had a lot to be thankful for. I think there might be a present from Generalissimo Franco too.

In the gift shop, you can buy a mug featuring the famous photo of Nixon shaking hands with Elvis.
