The LA Times Festival of Books event schedule is now online.
Click here and then pull down the schedule from the Event Program tab. Notice that you can peruse both the Panel offerings (which require tickets) and the Stages offerings (readings that don't require tickets).
According to their website:
Tickets are required for all of the Festival of Books in-door panel and speaker sessions. Tickets for the Festival of Books 2008 will become available on Sunday, April 20, 2008 at 12 noon through Ticketmaster.com for a nominal fee of $0.75 per ticket. Service charges are being waived by Ticketmaster in the interest of promoting literacy. Tickets will also be available at select Southern California Ticketmaster locations including Ritmo Latino. These tickets are free with the service charge being waived by Ticketmaster and participating retailers in the interest of promoting literacy.
As usual, there's lots to choose from. Me, I'm going for Gore Vidal with Jane Smiley, Maxine Hong Kingston with David Ulin and the panel moderated by Laila Lalami called Fiction: Not So Ordinary People with Tony Earley, Dinaw Mengestu, Stewart O'Nan and Ann Packer. And that's just Saturday.

I love the Festival of Books! Last year my son launched his short-lived, but fun career with Radio Disney at the Festival - after I dragggged my kids there! I will be back this year!
