This Saturday: Literary Orange

This Saturday, the second annual Literary Orange happens at the Hyatt in Garden Grove. Among the authors are the few I've featured here plus many others, including award-winning journalists Rick Wartzman and Al Martinez and novelist Elizabeth George.

Cost for the day-long event of panels and lectures (including lunch) is $75.00.

Literary Orange is sponsored by the UCI Libraries and the Orange County Public Library. (Psst - someone tell them to have discounted tickets for students next year!)

Janet Fitch, author of "Paint it Black and "White Oleander"

Michael Jaime Becerra, author of "Every Night is Ladies Night"

Aimee Bender, author of "Willful Creatures" and other books

Ron Carlson, author of "Five Skies"

Alex Espinoza, author of "Stillwater Saints"

Marianne Wiggins, author of "The Shadow Catcher" and other books

It seems like a nice event to attend.

If anyone reading this attended, I'd love to hear how it went. They seem to be pulling in more authors each year, which is a a good sign, but the cost seems a bit steep. (Or perhaps it just seems so because the free L.A. Times Book Festival is the same month.)
