One month after moving to its new location, landmark bookstore Librería Martínez continues the re-opening festivities on Thursday, April 2nd with a book signing by critically-acclaimed author, Josefina Lopez. Best known for authoring the play and co-authoring the film Real Women Have Curves, Lopez will present her debut novel, "Hungry Woman in Paris."

Latino Indy Pop group, Gardenia, will begin the evening with a special acoustic performance of their latest hits including, "No Vuelvas Mas." The evening culminates with a wine and cheese reception.

After the enormous success of "Real Women Have Curves," which is credited for launching the career of "Ugly Betty's" America Ferrera and which inspired women of all cultures to embrace their curvaceous figures, Josefina Lopez brings yet another unique tale of Latina heroism with her first novel - "Hungry Woman in Paris." In addition to reading an excerpt from the book, Josefina will also share experiences from her more than 20-year career as a writer, poet, performer, and activist. Included in her resume are many awards including the Gabriel Garcia Marquez Award and Humanitas Award for Screenwriting.
