Listen in: Bibliocracy

Andrew Tonkovich hosts a weekly literary arts show on Pacifica's KPFK 90.7 FM.

KPFK is listener-sponsored community radio and today they're raising funds to sustain the station.

Listen in: 2-3 Wednesday June 9 - on your old fashioned radio - or live streaming on the web. Call up and subscribe. (818)-985-5735.

from his blog:

Summer Fund Drive at KPFK starts today. I'll host a special one-hour literary arts Wednesday hour with Program Director Alan Minsky from 2-3 pm. Call (818) 985-5735 to support poetry, fiction, nonfiction and memoir on the radio. I'll speak with friends of "Bibliocracy" and offer special premiums including a nifty poetry anthology from Heyday Books, subscriptions to Santa Monica Review and a CD from the Pacifica Archives of the great James Baldwin. And more.

You can also pledge online. http://www.kpfk.org.

Thanks for all your support.

In nearly two years it's been my joy to present Greil Marcus, Diane Lefer, Jim Krusoe, Katha Pollit, Al Young, Michelle Latiolais, Dylan Landis, Paul Auster, Michael Jaime-Becerra and dozens more writers. Scroll through the blog archives and be impressed, once again. Pledge big, please, to support the work of the singular community-run community radio station...for 50 years!

And do mention that you are a fan of this program and its charming host.
