Witness. Submission deadline: April 1, 2012
Witness, launched in Detroit in 1987 and now housed at the Black Mountain Institute at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, showcases poetry, fiction, and nonfiction that contextualizes the American experience by highlighting issues of global concern.
During our spring reading period (open until April 1st), we welcome submissions on the subject of redemption for publication in our 2013 print issue. We especially encourage non-traditional interpretations of the topic.
Witness pays $25 for every 1,500 words of prose and $25 per poem, for both print and online work.
