On Saturday and Sunday, UCLA hosts the Los Angeles Times Festival of Books. Tickets are still available for some of the events that require tickets (online or on-site) - but there are plenty of readings and other events that require none. I'll be hanging out in the Santa Monica College Booth (#504) on the lawn of Royce Hall in between Humanities and Haines. Drop by and say hello. On Sunday, Poetry Open Mic Night debuts at Laguna Beach Books with host Oceana Callum. Reading begins at 5 PM with sign-ups beginning at 4:30. 1200 S.
